Which is why, since our mission is to help people stay connected and nurture their real relationships online, we feel it’s important for users to be able to talk to their loved ones directly. On HalloApp, we want people to feel safe, secure, and connected to the people who matter most to them. And the best way to do that is through direct lines of communication—first starting with chat, and then the ability to call someone directly inside the app.

End-to-end encrypted Audio & Video Calls are now live on HalloApp.

In our most recent app update, we pushed live the ability for users to call each other using both WiFi and/or cellular data. Calls can be made as audio-only or with video.

Audio and video calls give users the ability to chat directly with their friends and family members in an encrypted, secure space. As long as you have an Internet connection, you can make and receive audio and video calls to anyone in your address book who has installed the app and verified their phone number (so you don’t have to worry about unsolicited calls from people you don’t know).

We are very excited to add audio and video call features to HalloApp.

Here’s how the new feature works:

Step 1: Select (Or Start) A Private Chat

To start an audio or video call, select Chats and select (or start) a private chat with the person you want to connect with.

Step 2: In The Upper Right-Hand Corner, Press The Call Button

In the upper right-hand corner of the chat, tap the phone icon to ring the person directly.

Audio and video calls are important features to maintain personal connections with people who matter.

And we continue to implement more interactive audio and video features that allow you to keep in touch with friends and family in a safe, secure space.

If you have any questions or feature requests, please let us know.

We would love to hear from you.
